Cecil Street Project

The Cecil Street Project offers an authentic, creative and modern take on a 1930’s Californian Bungalow and pays homage to the era by celebrating its original period features and reinstating a sense of heritage into the home. Alison has created interior spaces that flow into each other, making the transition between old and new seamless. A palette of warm, inviting tones and textures are used throughout, mixed with a classic palette of crisp white and soft green. Replicating the subtle curves of the façade, curves form a large part of connecting the dots from original home to serene new renovation. A new kitchen creates the focal point this home was previously missing, the curved island bench wrapped in feature tiling draws the eye, while white-washed floorboards are illuminated by an abundance of natural light.
